Table Drumming

No one knows who came up with table drumming, but we feel that someone should get credits for it. Here is the result of some highly uncertain research.

According to Wikipedia some of the earliest tables probably existed in old Egypt, approximately between 3150 BC – 343 BC.

By that time period the drum was already well spread across the world, and i presume that people drummed on random stuff back then as much as now. So after the birth of the table it would only be a matter of time before someone tried it, right there and then. So my own conclusions are to give the old Egyptians credits for inventing it, Alexander the great for bringing it to Europe and of course all you table drummer out there for keeping the legacy alive.

Back in the day

In northern Sweden, we hunt, fish and develop mobile applications! Here is some rememberable moments from the office.

Elias, one of our sound designers came in a couple of nights to help us compose crisp sound effects for the app.

Jocke at the office designed alot of concepts for the album covers in the app, i think he designed like a million of them if I remember correctly. Anyway we put them all out on our conferance table and had a vote for which cover-concept that would best fit for each drum-kit. You can see the result in the app!

Welcome to the new home of table drumming. This website is dedicated to all you out there who lives for the rhytm. We started out with a challenge were people could record a video showing off their table drumming skills and creativity. The Winner was Mikael Wikner, a true pioneer when it comes to using multiple tables.

Today we want to announce that we have taken table drumming to its next level. By developing a mobile application that recognizes specific sounds and gives high quality drum samples in real-time response, you can now build your own drumset from practically anything. Drum applications where users tap the screen are things of the past. This is the future!
